Our Mission
Asha means hope—and hope is exactly what we aim to provide.
Asha For Dementia is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to:
- Curating and sharing reliable, easy-to-understand resources for dementia patients and caregivers
- Raising funds to distribute books, educational materials, and supportive tools to families in need
- Hosting future community meetings and support sessions for caregivers and loved ones
- Visiting nursing homes and long-term care facilities to connect with dementia patients, bring flowers, and offer moments of joy and human connection
- Helping families connect with neurology clinics and specialists offering innovative and cutting-edge therapies
At its core, Asha For Dementia exists to remind families that they are not alone.
A Growing Need
A Growing Need
Dementia is one of the most pressing health challenges of our time:
- Over 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia
- Nearly 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia
- In the United States alone, more than 6 million people are affected by Alzheimer’s disease
- By 2050, that number is expected to nearly double, increasing the burden on families and caregivers
Behind every statistic is a person—and a family—seeking understanding, compassion, and support.
Looking Ahead
Though founded by a student, Asha For Dementia is driven by a bold vision: a future where knowledge empowers families, where patients feel seen and valued, and where hope remains present at every stage of the journey.
Through education, outreach, and heartfelt service, Asha For Dementia strives to turn empathy into action—one family, one resource, and one moment of connection at a time.
